OUR STORY
We are the family behind the family farm.
Meet the Cantrells! A family of five with a dream to transform our family farm into a vibrant community hub where families can gather, learn, and collaborate. We are passionate about creating a space that offers hands-on educational programs and a peaceful retreat for everyone. While parents unwind, children can explore and discover the wonders of nature. Embrace slower country life in the foothills of NC alongside farm animals and exploring gardens.
Amanda and Josh met and started their family in Central FL but dreamed of a slower life and to be in the mountains.
In 2023, they moved to the Piedmont area and found the perfect land for their vision.
Amanda is a passionate educator with over 10 years of experience teaching elementary school and a deep love for project-based, S.T.E.A.M. learning. After transitioning to homeschooling, she was inspired to take learning outdoors—creating opportunities for kids to explore nature, ask questions, and grow through hands-on experiences.
Now living on a farm, Amanda is bringing her vision to life by building a natural playscape where children can play freely and families can gather in community. She believes in the power of connection and is creating a space where moms and caregivers can relax, recharge, and be part of a supportive village rooted in nature.

Natural Playscape
COMING SOON!
Our farm features a natural playscape designed to inspire creativity, movement, and connection to the outdoors. Children can race down slides built into the hillside, test their balance on timber beams, dig and build in a large sand pit, and get hands-on in a fully equipped mud kitchen. Made from natural materials and shaped by the land itself, this play area encourages imaginative, active play while supporting physical, social, and sensory development in a fun, unstructured environment.
